The Seattle Centre hosts an annual month-long event called Winterfest. During the time, the 74-acre arts, entertainment, and tourism complex transform into a frozen paradise featuring ice sculptures, a miniature winter train village, an ice rink, and student showcases.

Winterfest hosts a long list of events for people of all groups. And the best part about it is the venue’s proximity to the town center. You can watch a show at Seattle Center, grab a quick lunch at the Armory, and then drop by the Museum of Pop Culture or the Pacific Science Center on your way back.

Check out the Christmas Lights Display

Seattle’s Christmas lights display is a sight to behold. Come November every year, the streets are lined with colorful props that stay alive till the New Year. The most famous ones are Zoolights at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium and WildLanterns at Woodland Park Zoo.

While most of the displays are walk-throughs, certain setups in Candy Cane Lane and Spanaway Park can be driven through instead. Most displays are usually accompanied by Christmas performances, festive events, and holiday markets throughout the season.

Witness Christmas Celebrations at Bellevue’s Snowflake Lane

Bellevue Collection is a shopping center in Bellevue that hosts a series of events during Christmas every year. From beautiful lights displays to a nightly parade known as Snowflake Lane, the neighborhood comes alive during the season.

People gather between 5 pm and 9 pm every day throughout December to catch lively musical performances, dazzling lights, and pretty dancers. Better yet, there are over 180 boutique shops in Bellevue to help you catch up with some last-minute shopping urges.

Celebrate an Enchanted Christmas

Enchant Christmas hosted in T-Mobile Park is one of the crowd favorites here in Seattle. Held in the home of the city’s Major Basketball League team, the event takes place between November and December every year.

Enchant Christmas’ primary attraction is the world’s largest Christmas Lights maze, which covers most of the field. Cover charges include an ice-skating trail, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a holiday market, and access to special events, shows, and concerts that are held throughout the season.

Run a Taste Test at the Gingerbread Village

An annual affair at the Sheraton Seattle, the tradition has been alive for well over two decades. The Annual Gingerbread Village flaunts massive sculptures crafted out of confectionary by some of the city’s largest construction firms, bakers, and designers.

Every year the teams are given a new theme that they must work with. And the Gingerbread Village remains on display in the Sheraton Grand Seattle’s lobby from late November through early January. All proceeds from the event are donated to charity.
